June 30

Mommy always said that I had strong legs even while I was in her belly, well guess what, today I started to stand with mommy holding me upright. I can stand for about 2-3 minutes without getting tired. I hear that standing isn't an easy thing for a 1 month old but I though it was pretty easy. I hear walking is just around the corner. hehe

June 28

Today was the day I realized that I had a voice, I really like to hear it so I just get louder and louder. Mommy and Daddy seem to like it but kind of don't when I get really loud (so I think I will just yell from now on). Gotta make it fun for Mommy and Daddy right? ;)

June 22

Daddy plays music a lot during the day, today was the first time I actually noticed it. I started rocking once I stopped staring at the strange box next to me making noise. Soon we will have to have dinner music anytime I eat I think.

June 20

Guess what I did for the first time today? :P (stuck my tongue out if you didn't notice the symbol) hehe

It was fun, and it is a great way to push out the food mommy and Daddy want to feed me, once I start eating solid foods.

June 14

I had a milestone today. I held my head up on my own. Now I didn't really think it was a big deal, I saw something I wanted so I lifed my head up and looked at it, no big deal. Mommy and Daddy were really excited though so maybe I will keep doing it to amuse them.

June 9

I got to see Grandpa Greg and Grandma Kate for the first time.  It was nice to meet new people that seem to enjoy playing with me.  But then again who wouldn't love to play with me.

My daddy and Grandpa Greg got to go up and fly in bi-planes a few days later.  I enjoyed watching them, but I don't think I would want to go myself right now, it may mess up the couple of hairs I have on my head.

OK so my personal blog writer (my hands are still slightly small to type on these computer things), my daddy, has been slacking off and not updating everyone on my milestones like he should have.  He says he has been busy taking care of me but really I don't understand that excuse.  I mean I am not at all complicated to figure out, feed me, change my diaper and let me sleep, rinse and repeat.  Geesh, very simple :)

So I got my daddy on track and we will start updating my milestones again :)

 

June 6

I got to have the neighbors over to watch me while mommy and daddy were out...first babysitting is what mommy says.  They had to go to pre baptism classes for me. As long as it is for me I don't mind. Mommy and daddy did not like being away from me I hear which makes me happy.

June 4

OK this was a lot of work for mommy and daddy burning got to go swimming. I had my normal diaper on then a swim diaper over that. Then swim trunks and a shirt.  I enjoyed the water...so much so that I started to fall asleep in daddy's arms in the pool.

June 1

Today mommy left for most of the day and I spent the time with daddy. Mommy was sad, said she had to go to work.  I do not like it when mommy is sad. Will have to find out who this work person is and give them a piece of my mind...and maybe they can change my diaper while they are at it too.

May 31

Weight check! Today I weigh 9.9lbs...that is all.

May 27th

I went for my first official photo shoot today and boy am I cute if I do say so myself, which I do ;)

Notes for mommy and daddy:

• if you take me in the car I fall asleep which you like, but if you wake me up be prepared for a hungry baby and a dirty diaper.


• I will not hold off on the crying to take pictures before you feed me.


• I will make a mess in my pants and you will want to change me immediately, not after a few more pictures.


• And after you feed me and change me and then start taking pictures of me, please stop pulling my binky out of my mouth right before a bright flash happens. This only annoys me more.

Other than that I did an amazing job getting my picture taken.

May 23rd

After the weekend mommy and daddy got my weight checked and I am at 8lbs 14oz. And I was hoping for 9lbs but I just missed it :( Mommy and Daddy seem really happy though with my weight gain. I am starting to get what mom calls "pudge" on me. I'm not sure I like the sound of that, but hopefully it is a good thing.

May 20th

Today I am back to 8lbs 10 oz. I gained back 6oz in one day. Not bad huh. Told ya all I had to do was not sleep while eating. I am starting to realize though the more I eat, the happier I am. Maybe I will continue this eating thing.

May 19th

My mommy and daddy realized that I have been loosing weight, I thought I was just staying slim myself but I guess that they were not too happy about it. I will have to pay more attention when eating and gain back the weight I guess. Don't want mommy and daddy worried. No more sleeping while feeding I guess, but gotta love it while it lasted, sleeping and eating at the same time... what a life :)

I was 8lbs 10oz at my 2 week checkup. Today I was 8lbs 4oz

May 17th

May 16th

Daddy went back to work today. Mommy and Daddy seemed sad about that, but I guess I don't understand. All he did was go into a different room for most of the day while mommy hung out with me. I had a pretty good time with mommy. I was told it will be a bit different when mommy goes back to work... does that mean she will be staying in a different room of the house while daddy watches me?

May 9th

Mommy and Daddy put me on this soft thing and kept saying I was doing "tummy time", whatever that is. For me it was just a very frustrating way to see around me. My view... sucked, so I tried to look around a bit which mommy and daddy seemed really happy about so I kept doing it for their amusement. After about 10 minutes though I was ready to be done amusing them and started getting cranky :)

May 7th

I realized that my hands can hold on to things today. Mommy was wearing a necklace and I decided it would be a good idea to try to hang off of it with my hands. Need to start thinking of other things I can do with these hands other than smack myself in the face with them... stay tuned.

May 6th

The rest of my cord fell off today!  Now my parents can put my diapers on correctly ;)

Bath time in a tub now will be nice as well.  I am growing tired of the sponge baths :)

May 5th

I got to go to the beach in Galveston today. It was the perfect weather for me to sit in the van on my bouncer and enjoy the breeze. Mommy and daddy held me a lot too which I liked.  I got to go out to dinner at a place called the spot. Lots of bikers at the bar next-door but I am telling everybody that my parents took me to a biker bar hehe. 

May 4th

Mommy and daddy noticed today that I was paying attention to the mobile items above my bed. I guess mommy ordered a nicer mobile for me now, I bet I will like it.

I also had my first dinner out today. We went to a grill called bjs and they had what looked like really good cookies for desert...now if only I could eat solid foods.

May 3rd

Ok so I had trouble remembering what day I was on so I am going to show dates for titles now ;)

So today I had my first official doctors checkup. I got back to my birth weight which my parents were very happy about.  They stuck me in the foot again which hurt and made me bleed but I was told it was to make sure i was healthy so I guess it's ok.  I didn't cry much...well maybe I did but don't tell anyone ok?

Day 14 - Sun

I lost track of a few days but I got to meet one set of my grandparents on Thursday I think with some sort of tube thingy and daddy kept putting what he calls a web camera in my face so they could see me.  It was pretty nice to see my grandparents and hear them talking to me :)

This morning I snuggles in the bed with mommy and daddy for a few minuites and boy was that nice.  Need to keep that as a mental note when I get older about asking to stay in the bed with them.  I'm sure they will like it when I do that. ;)

Day 13 - Sat

So for anyone keeping track... I am 3-0 for daddy on who I have tried to pee on while getting changed.  Not good to pee on the person that is my food source.  Daddy isn't so thrilled about this though.

Also mommy gave me a nickname of squirms, because I am little and squirmy. 

Day 13 - Fri

Today we went.shopping for me, yay!  We got some more sleep sacks so mommy or daddy can more easily annoy me by messing with my diaper in the middle of the night.  I got a couple of onezies as well. We also went grocery shopping but that didnlt have anything for me so I am not going to talk anymore about it...moving on ;)

Day 12 - Thurs

Today l slept...the end.  ;)

Day 11 - Wed

Back to softball. This time mommy realized that even in Texas I like blankets in the evening...and hats.  Gotta stay cudldly warm.  Everybody cheered when daddy was up to bat so I guess he did good.  Mommy was the only one in the stands though ;)
I had a pretty good day overall.  I slept about 6 hours at one time again which made mommy and daddy very happy.

Day 10 - Tues

I decided to let mommy and daddy sleep in a bit and slept over 5 hours.  They seemed to be ok with that...happy even. Will have to remember this as a way to annoy my parents in the future ;)

we also went to babbies r us and got to buy some stuff for my future playmate that will be coming in June from the next door neighbors. Just think if I am this much fun, how much fun two of us would together hehe.

Day 9 - Mon

My first grocery shopping trip.  Not too much for me here but boy do they get a lot of stuff.  I mean really all you need is milk right?  I am not a fan of the really cold food section. I had to be bundled up for that part of the store. I like blankets though...so snuggly.

day 8 - Sun

So mommy tells me there is a big bunny hopping around today.  I don't really understand why but I got a basket with chocolate in it which I like.  Mommy and daddy are eating all of it though which I don't like. Just wait until next year...all mine!

The neighbor across the street brought over food for mommy and daddy which they were very happy to get.  Again all I got to do was watch them eat it :[

Next year will be a lot more fun I'm betting ;)

Day 7 - Sat

Today we went out to run the exact same errands where last week I was inside mommy and decided to pull the plug in the middle of the store. Oops. I tried to put the plug back in but to no avail. We got out of there and into the car pretty quick after that and on our way to the building where I met the world.
At least today mommy and daddy were able to buy the stuff they had to leave quickly the week before.

Day 6 - Fri

Mommy said I would pee on daddy first and guess what, mommy won! I got him good today, (and the wall, and the radio, and a book, etc). Who knew I could aim so well huh?
We will see when I decide to get mommy but she is my food source so that may be awhile still.

We also went on a trip to pick up the fuzzy barky thing (also known as Chance).  He was big and furry and all he wanted to do was lick my face and feet.  I really didn't mind even though mommy and daddy didn't want him to do that.  So now he is my little guard fuzzy barky thing because he lays down next to me anytime I am fussy.  He didn't seem to care when I first cried and I didn't care when he randomly barked so I think the two of us will be good friends.

Day 5 - Thurs

I got to go see my doctor for the first time today after going home.  He was very nice.  I had to get put on a thing that checks how big I am while I was naked though which I was not at all a fan of, nope, nope, not at all.

I didn't lose anymore weight than when I got home so that is good I hear.  Also I was a bit yellow (I thought it was a tan) when I left for home but that is going away as well.  So a good checkup all around I guess :)

Day 4 - Wed

So today was my first day at home all night and I did pretty well.  I got to go to my first softball game today because daddy started playing today on a team.  Mommy and I were the biggest cheering section (and the only ones in the stands but shhh don't tell daddy).

Day 3 - Tuesday

Going home day!

So mommy and daddy are going to take me to where they call home.  As long as I get to go with mommy and daddy I am ok with wherever we go.  So far I am a pretty content baby.

When we left the hospital we went shopping for me.  I like to shop for me already... except for these little things that go over my hands so that I don't accidentally scratch my face, mittens I guess they call them (also makes it harder to post on my blog without my fingers but I am getting by).

I got a lot of strange people looking at me and smiling while I was in the store too... I think I liked that part the best.  I was on my best behavior and acting like I was sleeping for most of it but don't tell mommy or daddy that ;)

Day 2 - Monday

So today I got to spend some time getting to know my parents.  We just hung out around our room and I cuddled with mom and dad... then some lady came in and took a lot of pictures of me.  I realized that I am not a big fan of picture flashes.  In fact, daddy put up a picture of me online letting everyone know exactly what I think of the flashes in my eyes :)

I am learning today how to eat and doing a pretty good job at it if I do say so myself :)

Day 1 - Sunday 4/17/11

Today I came into the world :-)

Mommy has always "loved" it when I kick her in the ribs so I literally pushed myself out by pushing on her ribs before the doctor could get there.  She wanted me out and I did my best to do so fast!

hi all, so I am going to be starting a blog about my early life adventures (yup just over a week old and I can write on a blog ;)

I am planning on doing a day by day posting so check back often.

Day 7 - Sat

I got to go on the exact same trip I did the week before except last time I was still inside and pulled the drain plug in the middle of the store and they quickly left the store for some reason. 

this time however they were able to buy me stuff...and I always like that. :)

Day 6 - Fri

Mommy won the bet... daddy got peed on first (and the wall and the crib and a few books)  what can I say, I am efficient when it comes to aiming at multiple objects.

Later in the day we went to go get the fuzzy barky thing.  Mommy says his name is chance.  I slept while he got picked up but I did get licked by him.  I didn't mind. I was a little warm anyways.

Mommy and daddy were worried about me getting scared when he barked... nope slept right through it :)

Day 5 - Thurs

Went to see my doctor today for my first checkup.  I am not loosing any more weight now... time to chow down and gain some weight.  Not a fan of the thing that the doctor does to make my foot bleed :-[

My yellow coloring went down and I am low risk!   Mommy and daddy are happy about that. 

Day 4 - Wed

I did a lot of traveling today.  We went and did some shopping but not for me.  I mean really what do they need to get that isn't for me huh?

Then in the evening I went to my first softball game.  Daddy started on a team today and he did a really good job according to mommy. I mostly was just a people watcher which I like.

Day 3 - Tues

Today I left what I hear is a hospital and headed to my new home.  Mommy and Daddy took me shopping first though for some more stuff to make me happy. I now have something called mittens.  I am not a fan.  These objects make my hands disappear for long periods of time.  How am I going to scratch my face without my hands around?  I seem to get the attention of everyone around me which I don't mind.  Mommy says I am adorable, maybe that's why people want to see me. 

Back at home daddy and I had a little nap together so I could hear his heartbeat.  It made me sleepy.

Ok time for a nap. 

Day 2 - Mon

So I like these people that are hanging out with me.  They seem to like to snuggle with me.  What's with that annoying flashing thing (camera). Some strange lady came in and made a lot more flashes happen.  Maybe I will give them a pic letting them know what I think of the flashy things.

Hello world. This is Tyler and this is my life.  (Pretty good that I can write in a blog being less than a week old huh?)
